2014 Nissan Rogue Press Kit: At a Glance
Since it was first introduced for the 2008 model year, the Nissan Rogue has been a key player in the highly competitive compact SUV market, addressing both the functional and emotional needs of the buyers while offering great value. Rogue also rocketed to the number two spot in Nissan U.S. sales behind the popular Nissan Altima. Now, following its complete second-generation redesign, the all-new 2014 Nissan Rogue is set to challenge convention once again with bold emotive styling, a comfortable and inviting interior, unique passenger and cargo versatility and an enhanced sense of driving confidence.
The Rogue's robust exterior styling adds a new premium look and feel
created to stand out in its class. The bold, sharp lines offer a sporty
and confident appearance. Exterior highlights include halogen headlights
with signature LED daytime running lights, muscular front fenders and
hood, body color outside mirrors with standard integrated turn signals
and rear spoiler. Also available are LED headlights with auto levelizer,
fog lights, privacy glass, roof rails, heated outside mirrors, power
panoramic moonroof and a power rear liftgate. Wide-opening rear doors
provide improved entry and exit (versus the previous generation Rogue)
for rear passengers. Rogue is offered in eight exterior colors,
including new Midnight Jade and Saharan Sun. The premium look and feel continues inside with the new Rogue interior, which is designed to make everyday activities a little easier and in style. Rogue's ample interior roominess offers available |
Rogue also offers the advanced Divide-N-Hide Cargo System providing 18 adjustable variations between the cargo and occupant areas (two-row models). With the 2nd row seat folded down, the innovative, class-exclusive* Divide-N-Hide Cargo System creates a flat cargo area. When more space is needed for carrying taller or bulkier items, lowering the floor board creates a deeper cargo well. And, with the divider board in the vertical position, a split storage area space is created for containing items such as grocerey bags or for sepatating clean items from muddy sports equipment. It also creates a large covered storage area to keep items out of view from prying eyes. The floor board is designed to stay in the vehicle, yet is easily removed if desired.
Standard Rogue interior features include "zero gravity"-inspired front seats (using technology first applied to the Nissan Altima's front seats), 6-way adjustable driver's seat, 4-way adjustable front passenger seat, front center console, power windows with driver's auto up/down, 5.0-inch center meter color display (Advanced Driver Assist Display), air conditioning with microfilter and 2nd row vents, 4-speaker AM/FM/CD audio system with auxiliary audio input jack, power door locks with auto-locking feature, RearView Monitor, Bluetooth Hands-free Phone System, NissanConnect, Streaming Audio via Bluetooth and Hands-free Text Messaging Assistant, USB connection port for iPod interface and other compatible devices.
Also available are dual-zone automatic temperature control, power driver's seat (including power lumbar support), Quick Comfort heated front seats, leather-appointed seats and Bose audio system with nine speakers.
Available technology features include NissanConnect with Navigation, 7.0-inch color touch-screen display, Nissan Voice Recognition for navigation and audio, NavTraffic and NavWeather, SiriusXM Travel Link (SiriusXM subscription required, sold separately); NissanConnect Apps; Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection (MOD); Blind Spot Warning (BSW); Lane Departure Warning (LDW); and Forward Collision Warning (FCW).
Every 2014 Nissan Rogue is equipped with a responsive 170-horsepower 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine, advanced Xtronic CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission), Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) and 4-wheel disc brakes with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). Rogue is available with an intuitive All-Wheel Drive system or front-wheel drive.
Fuel economy is a best-in-class* 33 mpg highway for front-wheel drive CVT-equipped models - representing an 18 percent improvement in highway fuel economy versus the 2013 model. Rogue city fuel economy is rated at 26 mpg, while combined fuel economy is 28 mpg (front-wheel drive models). The new Rogue carries the distinctive "PURE DRIVE" badge, signifying Nissan's commitment to developing more environmentally friendly transportation for every market.
The new Rogue also features Nissan's new suite of confidence-inspiring dynamic technologies with Active Trace Control, Active Engine Braking and Active Ride Control. A 4-wheel independent suspension, Electric Power-assisted Steering, 4-wheel disc brakes with Anti-lock Braking System and 17-inch wheels with 225/65R17 all-season tires are standard. Available are 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with 225/60R18 all-season tires.
